John Murray of the Oxford Mail claims that Oxford could never have attracted a club of the calibre of Manchester United under Kassam due to his reputation in the game. Now, I’m not his biggest fan, though I don’t think all the reporting has been entirely fair, but didn’t Chelsea come to the Kassam a couple of years ago? Criticism may be justified, but this kind of myopia undermines all credibility.
